The movie Here Awhile (formerly called Anna) really touched our hearts. It tells the story of a terminally ill woman who returns to Oregon to reconnect with her brother before making the decision to end her life using Oregon’s Death With Dignity Act.
We were proud to be among the sponsors of this important, amazing project. The cast and crew were a pleasure to work with – one of the movie’s two producers, Deborah Lee Smith, was our contact throughout filming.
Here Awhile was a labor of love for so many of the cast and crew, and it really showed in every interaction. The crew was so tightknit and there was always excitement in the air. Every person we met during our lunch drop off was so gracious and thankful to be fed.
We had the opportunity to meet Anna Camp, Steven Strait, and Joe Lo Truglio, which was a real pleasure. However, at the end of the day, we were happy to be part of this important project – even if only in our small way. We love that every aspect of filming, from directing and acting to providing food and coffee, are vital in the overall production and it’s important to all of us at Mundo Catering to provide the best food and service we can. Even when we are doing a simple lunch drop off, we always try to include options for every dietary restriction.
While the filming of Here Awhile has wrapped, we are happy to note that the film is being submitted to festivals right now. We hope it sparks conversation and provides its viewers with plenty of food for thought.
